Wednesday walk through the garden 10/14
The garden is definitely slowly being cleaned up! Winter prep is beginning! There are only a few pepper plants, a zucchini plant and cherry tomato plants.
The cherry tomatoes are looking great still! My dog Sherman keeps stealing the lowest ones from the plants!
I kinda let the strawberry plants get out of control this summer. So, I’m going to need to get these dealt with before next season!
I only have one zucchini plant left and the zucchini is not the prettiest! But, I’ll still use it!
I did pull up a couple of the dead plants and I was able to find a few free squash that my neighbor threw into the compost pile. The chickens were able to scarf this all down this evening!
I harvested the seeds from the red and purple sunflowers that I grew this summer to grow again next year. And, of course, I needed to put the seeds into a cute envelope!

Thanks!! I promised some seeds to neighbors and family, so I couldn’t just distribute them in an ugly bag! 🙂
